Previous chapter has ended.

For the past few months, things happened like the speed of F1. Perhaps, fast enough not knowing that I had already lose myself away. Hence, relationship ended, and so does my misery.

Thats all for that, I'm tired of elaborating further. Yawns.

Been going a month since I starts to lead my life back. I didnt know that I can be this happy compare to what I have been going through for that period. Elated that I can focus on what I want to do and not restricting to what I can really enjoy in.

Just rejected a job offer that offers me a better pay than my current one, and felt awfully bad. I don't mind rejection, but I HATE to reject people.

The other end sounds dejected over the phone, and obviously make things worse right. :/

Devil's though: Shouldn't have went for the interview in the first place. The angel's thought tells me, "Never try, never know." Anyway, I ALREADY rejected the offer.

$3000k Basic + approxi. S$500 transport allowance + monthly commission
5.5 days work and 7 days annual leaves, location tuas. (I live in Jurong, hence not an issue.)

Studies is the core issue. :( Would have taken up this offer if it weren't for that. 7 days annual leave is not even enough for my exam's leave, and saturday lectures on occasion. take leave again? LOL.

Okay lar, still can survive with my current job and looking forward to 13th month and AWS in April. Hopefully it's 3-4 months. :D Sales for my department is on the right track, and 4 months more till closing sales for 2010.

Happy New Year !!!

Hope 2010 will be better than 2009!

On the whole, 2009 is pretty a good one for me but I believe it can always be better. Go away, all the 'wu eh bo eh' and all the bad luck.

After not blogging for such a long period, I seems to be suffering from mental block in blogging. LOL.

2009 seems to be passing in a flash for me, without realising, i am going to be 22nd soon. (my 21st celebration was like just a few mths back) okay, the sign: age is catching up soon.. Not fun anymore !!! (the hint is: my bdae is coming.)

Sometimes, I just hate to enter adulthood(though i don't feel like one), but technically I am.. Duhz, it's just a matter of time. : Alright, shall stop grumbling!

Jan - Celebrated my 21st Birthday and around 100+ people turned up. Received countless of gifts & angbaos. I considered it a success cause all of my love ones are there!! (: So touch by those who actually turn up! :D

CNY falls on Jan in 2009, a very rush one for me as it is just one week after my birthday.

As usual, visiting visiting and visiting for the 2-3 full days. 2 new games learnt from and played with my cousins. PS 3 - Rockband, and the very exciting and risky card game: TEXAS POKER. I love this game, though I couldn't really fully recall how the game runs now. LOL. Anyway, it's a lose fast, win fast game. How can anyone's CNY give gambling a miss?

Even my dogs were dressed up for CNY. Gonna buy new clothes for them soon, 2010 CNY is coming. Jantur, Ruff and Sky! Muacks.. my babies.

Feb - That's where me and my love one, Alvin, got together. We are getting along fine and things are great for us I would say. I very 'padang' towards this kind of stuffs, so i wouldn't say that things are 100% perfect, well at least we are happy tgt. (Sometimes if you say that things are exceptionally good, then things will starts to turn bad. Don't you think so?

Like once, one of my colleagues asked me how many summons I got before, and i replied, once after 2 years of driving, then the next day I got fined! Damn. 30 bucks! Appeal failed too! Angry, what's with the URA ppl. Somemore my manager never tio, but i tio when both of us parked within the same vicinity and both of us didn't put coupon. I think the person 'Tiao Gang'.

Many more incidents which i don't bother to elaborate.) I love him and seems like it's going to be 1 year for us soon, just next month. Just hope that we will get stronger. (:

Then there was V'Day, and there was training from 2-6pm. Baby picked me up and we went to Singapore Yacht Club for Dinner. (:

The next day, we went to Championship Dog show 2009 held at Expo. I managed to take a photo with my dream dog. :D

19th was our JEZ's dinner,Jannies,Emily,Zhijun, my beloved bffs from poly-magnum force. Though we graduated, but we still meet up as often as we can to catch up. :D

28th Feb, attended Serena's 21st Bdae Party. (she's a 29th baby anyway)

March - Was BFF, Zhijun's Bdae! (she's 26th feb baby)

Other than work, cheer training took up the other half of my time during this period as competition was drawing near.

- Sent application to SIM for my BSc enrolment.
- Receive my first Government GST Rebate Credit! (S$200)

22th March - National Cheerleading Competition. Though we didn't win but it's the process that I had learnt from. Also, that was the last competition for me as time do not permit. Nonetheless, I still love cheerleading, not going to stop cheering, stunting and dancing, when I have the time and energy to. (:

Don't know which day of March - Cookie making session with my sister, Jacqueline. We love baking, but seldom have the chance to do things tgt.(Also to thank Elvin, Evern and friends for the Tefal oven as my 21st Bday Present!)<3s.

- Travelled to Shanghai for work, 9 days, and was my virgin China trip. It was enjoyable and an experience for me though. (go to my archives under April/May for more.)

SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMS like I have been missing in action for quite some time in my blog. Yes, schedule is too tight for me to even blog after I got into this new job 3 weeks ago.

Updates! Updates for you people out there. Yes, once I tender my resignation letter, I start searching for job. And here I am now with a NEW one within 2 weeks, and a definitely much much better one. I shan't go into details why I left my ex-company. 1 : far too complicated , 2 : don't wanna waste my time on IT, 3: In case I got sued for ntg .. (anyway, am not the only victim)

Well, at least I'd seen the worst of the worst in the working/business world. I guess and I am quite sure of that.

BUT! if u r kpo enough to come and ask me personally, might be a different case then. (: maybe comment will help as I won't publish it. Any how, I am happy with where I am now and 3 weeks passes in a flash.

Currently working in the Oil&Gas Industry as sales executive for Oilfield Supplies. The company I am working in has been around for over 43 years, and it's kinda near to my place. I drive to work, and it will only take me approx. 15 mins w/ occasional jam.

Colleagues are great too, ranging from 21 to 50+ yrs old, and around 80-90 plus head count.

Last friday was our company Dinner & Dance, held at Jurong Safra, and theme: Retro.

Ridicously enjoyable for me as I don't felt left out at all even though I just joined the company.

Most of us were all dressed up in accordance to the THEME, I shall post the pictures up once I have the time to blog again. HAHAS. Better pray hard, hope it won't be a once in a blue moon case. ((:

This weekend was spent with my baby, as that's the only period we can meet each other due to the NS he is still serving. Well, as an understanding gf (erhem), I can only yearn to see him during weekend. Nonetheless, that makes us cherish the time we had w/ each other and spending quality time tgt.

On good times, I can still get to meet him during his night's out, which can only be tuesday, as I have school on mon, wed, and thurs night. Boil down to the point, I am only available on Tuesday on the weekdays to do the things I want to do. )): Can you see how tight my schedule has evolved, and I am suffocating soon............................................................................................

Didn't expect FT work and PT sch can be so tiring and exhuasting. Last term was okay, as I have only 2 modules, but this term consists of 3 modules. Additional one module makes not much diff right? (you may think) C'mon lor, it's the content of the module that matters and not the no. of modules I am taking.

You compare the following,

Last term: Statistics 1, Mathematics 1

(The above modules can be use by this strategy: Practice makes perfect, hence I have not much difficulty with them)

This term : Introduction to Economics, Law of Business Organisation(LBO), Elements of Social and Applied Psychology(ESAP)

(Last 2 mentioned requires loads of memory work and inference from external-contextual reference, and superb memory skills. Lecture notes of ESAP can be as thick as about 2 inches.)

MOST IMPORTANLY!!!!!! I don't even have the luxury of time to revise.

No! I can't let that happen to me. I must make time! I must not let my parents down. LOL.

Hey, I am serious okay.

Once I am done with this 3 years of torture, it's the end of the schooling life for me!!!

I am aiming for second class anyway(worse come to worse a grade lower lo), and wish me luck okay? Don't be evil cause karma exists~~!! :D

Continued from my previous entry.....

So any guesses...? No? .. u guys r boring!

Well, in any case.. I will let the cat out of the bag then. For that 3 days, my boyfriend, bestie=zhijun, Jon & Spencer worked for the F1 event under EmeraldHill Grp, and we were hired by Dbl O.

All of us were stationed at the same location, @ The Village, but sadly boyfriend and zhijun were at the Grab and Go Bar, whereas the 3 of us were under the Ice Cold Beer Bar. It's damn hip man, seriously. As u all know, there are 2 responsibilities when the Bar operates, either behind the bar, or outside the bar, namely the bartender and floor service staff respectively. What an experience I had working behind the bar, my first time !! My virgin beer drafting, preparing housepour, mixing cocktails, and so on...was given to Ice Cold Beer Bar. For F1 ! ! ! !

I will never want to work again the following year!

Anyway, I work for fun too.. Just want to catch the atmosphere of F1, tt's the ultimate reason. :D I felt like a slave for tt 3 days man, it felt like 3 years to be exact. LOL. Dont mind if i exaggerate a bit.

The pay wise was okay, but was the freaking long f*cking hours that I had to endure through, and not only that!!!!! The stupid damn shoes i wore the first day, caused blisterSSSS!!! Huge blister at the back of my feet.. So can you imagine the hell I am going through??? Girls should! And since with the appearance of my new blister, it made the other 2 days even MISERABLE, we have to wear BLACK COVERED SHOES, COMPULSORY.

You don't understand how painful it really hurts man. F*ck it, it's over~

Friday and Sat, we worked from 1++pm till 2am.. that's 13 hours. Though they gave us a no. of 5-10 mins break, but 13 hours...!! Never in my life, I have stood for that long, let's give it a maximum of 10 hours. I stood for 10HOURS w/o resting.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday, 1++pm till 4am... o.O 4 A.M.

$10 per hour.. Is it really worth it?? DEFINITELY NOT man.. Day1: 13 x 10= 130, Day2: Same as Day1, 130, Day 3: 15 x 10 = 150, Total: $410 .. Tsk tsk.. Not even 1/5 of my pay, and we worked like dog. =X

My legs nearly gave way the last day, and the next morning i woke up!!! both my ankles were swollen lahs.. Damn... Almost sprain it when i stepped out of the bed. -.- .. My virgin ankle injury was also given to them alrdy lahs. Even my 4 years of cheerleading also didn't take that away lor!!!

Oh well, enough of complaining.. though i know it can never be enough. Word of advice: Don't just take any job offering $10/hr, unless u wanna be a dog. =X

On the flip side of it... I get to see a bit of the F1 race!!! .. ZOoooOoOooOmM.... ZOoooOoOooOmM.... ZOoooOoOooOmM....~~~~

Fast & furious !! ... Ermm... not really into it anyway. LOL. Met new friends, a definitely good experience and learnt a no. of stuffs from the bar. It's not easy working behind the bar, but fun, especially when there's continous flow of customers. I learnt a new term, The bar is a SLAM! When time pass the fastest. SLAM SLAM SLAM..

Suddenly have the urge to blog, but i have no idea what should i talk about.

There were so many things that happened for the past few weeks, and life seems so tight on schedule.

SO contradicting right, i know. Mood is just not right suddenly, got to adjust it back before i start to wallow in self pity and dwell in loneliness.

Hence for this very instance, i will shout, 'FMLFMLFMLFMLF..!'

I think I want to change my job soon .... I think it's kinda screwing me up.(dirty green seems screwed) Or shld i wait to be fired (which is not likely to be the case). Most of you should be stun after reading the sentence abv. I am not surprise since many of my friends seems to be so envy that i've got to travel overseas for business.

HAHAHAS. But maybe not for the current situation. Not that i didn't get to travel, but just some issue lars. Things changes, don't they? That's why the earth keeps turning too. Simple as that.

Not elaborating much. (Just in case my boss or colleagues read my blog. Ya then, I will get fired. U will be LYAO. so evil.)

However, thanks to it still. It will reflects well on my updated resume for the upcoming one.

Marshmellow Brownie!

I'm into baking again, and it was Marshmellow Brownie for today's dessert! .. The original recipe name for this is Rocky Road Brownie, so don't fit the recipe right? Wonder what's with the person who came up with it.

Okay, whatever it is.

This is the outcome of my Marshmellow Brownie:

Before drizzling it with melted chocolate and some chocolate chips.

& the final product! Yay! (Brownie has been buried, caused who don't love Marshmellow?!!)

Is it pretty??

When I was drizzling the melt chocolate, I tried tasting it and stopped the drizzling IMMEDIATELY.

Gosh! .. the melted chocolate suck, and then I realised it was unsweetened chocolate.

I was thinking, ' Die liao las. How sia?' So helpless you know.

I can't imagine how my Brownie will taste like. Kinda sad at that point of that, but I just heck it.

So I carried on, and added the Chocolate Chips on my own accord. Hopefully it will help ease the bitterness. LOL.

Waited for it to cool before cutting it into pieces, and it's not easy to cut with the super sticky Marshmellow as the topping.

Tried one piece before I decide if I shld dump it or not, UNEXPECTEDLY Fabulous-licious!

Got something to add on to it, for the CURE Natural Aqua Gel. It helps to remove blackhead miraclously, especially at the most critical area, your nose. =D

Basically, all you have to do is to apply with it on a dry face and then rub gently in rotating motion. I bet you will be surprise with the result, if not go consult a dermatologist then.

Hi all, just being random.

I DIY this photoframe!!!! (actually only added the decorations and design it lar.)

But the effort is there okay. The inital photo frame was just plain pink, and now it has transformed~! From Daiso, anyway. (:

Now it has got the bling bling, heart shaped stickers, and the rainbow colored heart shaped border. I did it within 30mins or so, fast right?

You might feel that I am a mountain tortoise 'shua gu', or even doubt if I'm a pure Singaporean.

Yes, but I am still proud to say that it's my FIRST Visit to one of the well-known attractions in Singapore, Night Safari. HA-HA-HA.. in my 21 years of life.

Can? Can? Can?

I bugged Alvin to bring me there since July, and we decided to go there on our 6th mthversary, 08 August 09.

Many told me that there's nothing much in there. Too dark, animals were not active, sleeping... etc.

One of the philosophies I believe in: Seeing is believing. So, I went ahead.

(N they are right. Lol)

Okay lahs, we still manage to catch most of the animals there while the sun was about to set around 7plus when we took the tram ride.

Seriously, then what's the point of it being called the Night Safari when you can't see anything at all. They should do something about it, isn't it? Like having more variety of animals, importing more animals, or making the ride more exciting and fun.

The tixs aren't any cheap too.. $32/pax.

The only thing I really enjoyed at the N.S, was the Animal Night Show. The host for the show was fantastic, the way she communicates with the audiences and how she got hold of our attention. *applauses*

The way how the animals peformed was unbelievable too. I wonder how long does the zoo trainer took to train them up.

We headed here to purchase our tixs, and saw that all the ticket counters were closed! Baby, saw the disappointment on my face and tried to cheer me up. He then inquired one of the staffs available there for the purchasing of Night Safari Tickets, and was told it was at the end. Phew~

And I am happy!

Has it got to do with the setting in my camera? Or my camera is just not that capable of capturing moving objects?

But it's able to capture jump shots perfectly!! WHY LIKE THAT??? Someone advise me pls.

2nd BKK Trip

Slept for 12 hrs today! Loves. It's been a long time since I replenish sufficient sleep.

Alvin went for his AHM(Army Half Marathon)run held at Esplanade this morning, it must be damn tiring for him to wake up at 5 am for his 10km run. LOL. I was happily in my dreamland.

And he said to me, ' Ta men bu shi ren.' (they are not human) when he's back ard 1pm and I woke up reluctantly to ans his call. Sleep was being disturb. Didnt went back to sleep again, he got me lunch from his home cooked by his mum. It's my fav. soup noodle!! (cooked by his mum only)

Those yellow noodle, with soup and variety of ingredients like fishball, meatball, sliced fish cake, ngor hiong, and vege. Chilli padi with soy sauce must be included! AND IT WAS!! =D

FYI, I'm a Spicy Lover!

And I love authentic Thai food. :))

Another business trip to Bangkok during June, ALONE. The objective was to support my sales agents in a Trade Show for our products in Food and Pharmacuetical Industries.

One of my agents came to pick me up at the airport. Otw to the Exhibition Hall @ Bang Na.

Room had been upgraded to Executive Suite as the hotel forgot to reserve the room whom my agent had booked for me! .. DAMN. They charged me as per normal room rate as it was their mistake. HO HO HO...

I was still not please. It' SUPER freaky for me to stay in such a BIG suite ALONE.

ARGH. (if u had read my post on my first trip here, u will know why!) It meant more MIRRORS in the room. Click HERE

Apparently, there was no need for that. Dulan. I'm still not use to stay alone in the hotel room yet, and they gave me a even bigger surprise. Thanks leis.

They might think that I will be please with what they had offered to solve the situation, I think otherwise. :((

They can be damn retarded at times. lol. I had a no. of Thais friends (other than my agents,) and they nv failed to make me feel welcome.

They are indeed very nice ppl, or maybe I haven't met the bad ones.

3rd day....

Last night was different, I asked Mary to accompany me for the night. ((:

Yea! I am going back SG today! ... =D hahas.

Trade shows had people coming from all over the world, from Europe, Asia, Middle East, countries.. Assisting my agents as they are not so fluent in English.

Otw to BKK Int'l Airport. I found out something..

The conversation I had with Mary while she sends me to the airport.

Emily: So did you have a good sleep last night? (The night she stayed over at my suite.)

Mary: Oh yes. I had a good sleep. How about you?

Emily: Was okay. But I had tummyache around 4plus am.

Mary: I know, I saw you going to the toilet.

Emily: Must be the dinner last night.

Mary: Maybe? What did you ask me last night?

Emily(Hesitated): Huh? You mean when?

Mary: After you bath? You asked me something, and was standing in front of me by the bed.

Emily: Where got? Last night I asked you to shower first, while I packed my lugguage. After you are done, I saw you heading for the bed and I went to take a shower. When I was done, I noticed that you were sleeping soundly and I tried to keep the volume down for not disturbing your sleep. Didn't even talk to you at all.

Mary: Yes you did, don't lie. (laughing, as if don't believe me) You were just standing right in front and I heard foot steps before you stop in front of my feet.

Emily: (bewildered) Really never!! I never lie. You must be dreaming..

Mary: Oh really? Nvm, I must be dreaming.

Emily: Ya, dreaming las.

Mary: But I don't have dreams. At most 2 times in a year.

Emily: HUH?! (SUPER SHOCK, raised eyebrows.) Really? (It's the first time I heard that one can dream so little. Does any 1 not have any dream at all in their life?)

Mary: Okay, nvm. What colour u wore ytd?

Emily: Dark grey?

Mary: Then nvm. It's not you alr.

Emily: What colour you saw ytd?

Mary: White.

Emily: Lucky I'm otw back to Sg now.

Mary: It's okay, since it didn't disturb you.

FYI, do you all believe in the third eye or supernatural?

Mary had been able to see and hear those "things" since she was very young. Only for the past 4 years, she had not been seeing "things", but still able to hear them. That also applies to her mum and sister, whom currently still able to see them.

Personally, I had asked her what it's like to see those "things" and how she felt. All the questions you would have wanted to ask a person who can see such "things", I guess I didn't leave any of it out. Human tends to be curious.

Word of advice: Sometimes don't stay out too late, especially when you will be driving alone. You won't know what will be following you.

Tried to sleep before 3 to 4 am, if you are alone.

The day before I head back to SG, Mary brought me to Platinum Mall for SHOPPING after we knocked off! .. BKK's wholesale center.

One could never get enough of that place. I WANT TO GO THERE AGAIN!!.... Only had 2 hrs there! :(((

Warning: It's like a maze, and they closed around 7pm. Never think of going back to the shop you had earlier been to, you are wasting a big deal of your time.

Get there before it's too late., and 1 day is not enough. >:)

BKK had been quite a frequent for me, (the most visited country, other than M'sia. 5 times or so?)

I managed to picked up basic Thai language as I go along. (: Happy.

There might be another trip for me at the end of the year, for holiday this time. (Pending)

Saturday - Attended one of my sec sch's friend 21st bdae party. (it's been so long since I met up with some of the sec sch friends of mine, and i saw them there! Some changed tremedously.) Photos will be up soon.

Sunday - Had pinic with my magnum girls @ Marina Barrage. (I love that place! loves loves loves)

NSF arrested for rash act

A 19-YEAR-OLD full-time National Serviceman has been arrested in connection with the death of Second Lieutenant Nicholas Chan Wei Kit.

It is believed that he is the driver of the Land Rover that killed 2LT Chan at Seletar Camp last Friday.

The 21-year-old officer was pinned under the vehicle after it rolled backward and hit him while he was inspecting it.

A recovery vehicle was dispatched, though Mindef would not say how long after the incident, to lift the vehicle off him.

But he later died of his injuries in hospital.

Details surrounding 2LT Chan's death remain hazy, such as whether the handbrake had been applied or wheelchocks put in place at the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving accidentally.

The 19-year-old, who is out on bail, was taken in by the police for causing death through a rash act. He is currently assisting police in the investigations.

Baby's 21st @ Dbl O

I should have this post up since 1+ month back. Oops.

Baby's birthday was on 26th of May, and since it was on a weekday we celebrated his birthday on 22nd,which is a friday.

That day, me and his friends decided to go DBL O to celebrate his birthday. I baked a classic cheese cake for him as he loves it. Though he prefers chocolate cheese cake, I will leave that for some special day that comes along.

That night, we had Baby, Jon, Spencer, Jannies, Cynthia(and her bf), and me. When we reached there, then we realised that there's 1-for-1 promotion till 1am, and free flow of house pour till 12, so shiok.

I would say we drunk quite a lot that night, but not enough to get us drunk yet.

AGAINST the mournful strains of a bugle, a volley of three shots rang out at the Mandai Crematorium on Tuesday afternoon as family, friends and officers from the Singapore Armed Forces bade farewell to Second-Lieutenant Nicholas Chan Wei Kit in a full military funeral.

The 21-year-old officer - the only child of a homemaker and an engineer - died last Friday after an army Land Rover rolled backwards and hit him, pinning him under it.

Soldiers lined the crematorium driveway in the rain, each with a black band on their arm, as the hearse made its slow procession, 2LT Chan's parents trailing behind.

Eight of his fellow cadets also carried his coffin - draped with the Singapore flag - into the fully-packed hall.

There was not a dry eye in the hall as 2LT's cousin, Mr Reuben Leong, 20, delivered the eulogy on the man with a 'cheeky and heartwarming smile' they all affectionately called 'Nicky Boy'.

Mr Leong added: 'He was a bright young man with many aspirations.'

One of 2LT Chan' men also spoke of him as a 'fair and compassionate' leader, one who had no qualms about helping his men clean the army vehicles.

His parents remained composed as they accepted a folded Singapore flag, their son's ceremonial sword and his peak cap.

The Defence Ministry said investigations into the incident are ongoing.

HE WAS their only child. And the parents of Second Lieutenant Nicholas Chan Wei Kit, 21, are still unable to believe their son is gone after his sudden death last Friday afternoon at Seletar Camp, in which an army land rover rolled back, pinning him underneath.

A recovery vehicle was dispatched, although the Defence Ministry did not say how soon after the accident, to lift the vehicle off him. But 2LT Chan died in hospital of his injuries - a little more than an hour after he took over the vehicle.

His mother, a housewife, received a call at their flat in Bukit Batok, telling her that 'something had happened' to her son, and that he was in hospital. Together with her husband, an engineer, they rushed down. But by the time they got there, it was too late.

The family is still questioning what led to 2LT Chan's death. After all, he had been on military trips to Brunei and Taiwan, and had always returned safely.

His mother said she is still too distraught to probe much into the details of her son's death.

But one thing they want to know is whether any other military personnel were with their son at the time of the incident. The family said Mindef has told them that it cannot reveal this now as the matter is still under investigation.

What little they know is that 2LT Chan - a newly commissioned officer - was a Motor Transport Officer based in Jurong Camp. He had gone to the Seletar camp that day to collect the vehicle.
It is also not known if he was alone at the time but his mother said he could not have gone to collect the vehicle alone because he did not have a driving license.

In between sobs, she said that her son would come back almost every night to the family home to have dinner before heading back to camp. She had been expecting him as usual last Friday evening - but he never showed up.

2LT Chan's cousins described him as a 'happy-go-lucky' and 'playful' person, with a keen eye for fashion. He had a passion for clothes, they said, and even chose to specialise in retail management as a student at Temasek Polytechnic.

Close friends also called him a 'cheeky and happy' man. Said his former Basic Military Training platoon mate Audi Khalid, 21: 'He was the life of the platoon.'

2LT Chan’s best friend Jarryl Wong, a full-time national serviceman, said he placed a Beatles CD – one of 2LT Chan’s favourite bands – next to his friend’s body in the casket. 2LT Chan was decked out in the uniform he had worn for the officer commissioning ceremony.

‘It was something he would have liked. He brought a lot of joy into my life. I’m just thankful I got to see him before he died,’ said Mr Wong, 22, who met 2LT Chan for dinner the day before his death.

Last Saturday, his parents visited the site at Seletar Camp where 2LT Chan died to offer prayers.

His mother said that all she wanted now was to know what exactly happened on that fateful day.
She has not spoken to any of his army mates about the incident, though a steady stream of them have been pouring in to pay their respects at the wake.

‘I’m not blaming anyone. Nick is gone already. We’re just waiting for the investigations to be complete,’ she said.

2LT Chan will be given a full military send-off tomorrow.

One of my friends just passed away last friday.

I was shock to receive the news from baby after he came to pick me up from work.

If you had read the newspaper, or surf http://www.channelnewsasia.com/, you would have come across this piece of news. (But I doubt SAF would make it a big issue as well, that's their forte anyway. *angry*)

It's regarding a 21 years old SAF officer who died while inspecting a land rover, as the land rover rolls back and had him pinned down.

We attended his funeral today, and many were loss for words. Number of turn up from his friends were significant.

It really makes me feel how fragile life is, especially towards the people around you. You never know this minute you will be talking to this person, and next minute the person is gone.

Who can explain this? No one can, but to accept the fact as it is.

This is the first time, that someone who is a friend of mine passed away. Though not really close friend, but it affected me quite a lot.

Cherish life, and most importantly the people around you before it's too late.

Be it family, friends, acquaintances, there's always a reason for them to be in your life.

Oh well, it started off with Facebook. (AWESOME Social Network Webpage! -so far-)

Followed by a series of communicating, planning, fitting in of schedule, changes here and there, for over a few weeks before we settle with the details.

After dinner, we proceed to Wala Wala to drink and continue our nv ending catching up.

I believe my blog is on the verge of rotting and sooner or later, the state of decomposition. This cycle always repeats. (maybe you would say, 'U know then good.') But don't like that leis...

This is a 5 stars hotel anyway, located near Chatuchak area. If you had noticed the photos above, there are so so so many mirrors in the hotel room itself.

Assuming most of the rooms have 5 large mirrors... Other than it's a waste of money, it makes the pale lemon rind lighted room causing a person to be subconsciously paranoid . Spending heap sum of money to create such an atmosphere. -.- For the first hotel stay by myself, it just doesn't felt right initially...

However, I am please with what they had provided. All clincially-sanitised proven toiletries.

(Forgotten which level & room no. I stayed.)

After exiting the lift, I followed the direction pointing to my room no. ****.
Upon entering, I practised my usual procedure by knocking the door 3 times before inserting the card to the room. Followed by stepping aside after which I open the door, (as believe to allow the 'thing' to leave). I ought to say something like this, " I am only going to stay here for a few days, please kindly do not disturb me.", but it slipped my mind.

I hurried to insert the card in the room's slot. The room lit up as I expected. I examined the surrounding and tried not to let my thoughts wander while waiting for my lugguage to be send to my room.

Seconds later...

Someone was knocking at my door, *knock, knock, knock.* Just like how I knocked before entering the room.

I thought that it was my boss, as his room is just 1 room away from me. I opened the door without hesitation to found out that no one was outside. I took a step out and scanned the corridor, not a single soul were seen.

I was bewildered then, but I chose to ignore. Minutes later, the same knocking sound were brought by again. This time, I took extra precaution before opening the door by looking through the peephole. No one was outside. (Maybe there is some kind of prank show in Thailand, like Gotcha.)

I gathered my courage before attempting to open the door again. The corridor was empty.

Weird.

How would you feel if you were in my situation?

Glad enough, nothing strange happened after that.

Fascinated by this curl and swirl potato chip in Tomyam flavor, I bought at the M Mall. (I accidently smashed part of it =x)

Knock off at 8 pm last friday(24 apr), quite a no. of work to clear as well as to prepare the documents required for my first oversea business trip to BKK. Good thing that baby came and pick me up. :D .. tired but happy.

Had dinner at bt batok area, then pick our friends up ard 10 plus, jon, spencer & evern for movie @ junction 8, Friday The Thirteen. Gross las.. I asked baby if we were watching SAW 6? Storyline.. err.. 2 stars/5 stars.

Then we headed to Upp. Thomson for supper, Ba Chor Mee. (open 24hrs) Their side dishes are highly recommended!

Home sweet home. (:

Saturday (25 apr).. busy with the preparation of my business trip to BKK & had dinner with baby @ JP, moving on to pick my mum up after her work. Baby and me washed my mum's car for the 2nd time(my 2nd time washing car), kinda like the feeling after that. sense of satisfaction. ;) Sparkling clean.**

Now, in Bangkok.. Everything is fine here, no riots. First time having a hotel room to myself felt kinda weird. I will write about one thing I encountered on the first night, don't think it's good to blog it now when I am still here. :Z . Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, 5 stars. Other than that, I will show you why it's really worth 5 stars when i'm back.

Right now, i'm going to watch tv and then doze off. This way, I wont be that scared. haha s. (:

Before I update my post for my getaway trip to Phuket, 16-19 April, here are the photos for my Shanghai trip(purpose: for work).

Going to China had never once came across my mind, or even if it had, I would have drop the thought of that. Things are just so unavoidable at times when you dont want it. For instance, I tried to avoid A -maths after my O'lvl( I hate it), but gosh ... I bumped into Engineering mathematics 1,2 & 3 (in-depth of A-maths) during my Poly times.. D:

Getaway Trip. - Phuket

Travelling is really exhausting..! I wonder if you all felt the same way too. This month, Shanghai and Phuket, one for work and latter for holiday. An experience for both and enjoyed. (:

First time travelling for work, and first time going for a holiday with only the two of us. (i mean 2 person)

Though things dont go the way as we planned, and caused us to make a switch to Phuket instead.. But still,

kinda love it though.

We decided to go either Bangkok or Taiwan with our friends this time round, probably end of year.

First budget airline experience to Phuket, really budget lors.. FAINT. or maybe i am too use to Singapore Airline. OKAY, BUDGET AIRLINE .. two thumbs down !! NO TIGERAIRWAYS AGAIN. i just dont like it. way too uncomfortable~~

Reach Phuket at night & check into our hotel, called ibis.

Stayed there for 4 days 3 nights.

Went to the beach next day.. i love it. ((:

Well, the beach was damn nice.. BUT !!! they do charge for the chairs that you laid on for sun tanning though.. 80 baht for as long as you like, Like What The Hell lahs.. As though it is some kind of massage chair.. But still, we were there to enjoy, we paid.

I love the scenery there and it's so relaxing.. Got tanned, and I like it.

Initially, when we got to the beach.

And later on..

Alright, Phuket was not that bad actually. Especially for girls, and tt's what my baby said, "Wah! There's so much for girls to shop for." Indeed, there are many nice floral dresses for lady to as low as 80 baht( S$3.50 each). YOU really have to bargain like SIAO, and you can have the bargain you want. For example, I've got to bargain from 450 to 250 Baht, or 2 for 250 Baht..

Phuket is filled with caucasians, it seems as though I'm in Europe or Australia. I am not exaggerating, 80% of the people there are Angmohs. (That reminds me of Bali's bombing incident) Most of them went there for holiday, whereas some lived there. Most of them are Aussie, but there were also some from US and Greece.

A Greece couple who was kind enough to take a photo for us, and were amazed by the camera I used after they reviewed the picture. Asked me for the details and price of it. I'm going to contact SONY and charge them for ambassador fee. :D (I know u are telling me to dream on. nvm)

Tried their Thai food, and some were really authentic. I love this dish especially, Glass Noodle Salad.. GOSH.. I am seriously missing it now! (saliva filled my mouth) Forgot to take a photo of the restaurant which was the first and also the last restaurant we patronised for this trip. Their food was good, another dish was their Pineapple rice with Indian Curry. ARGH .. no photos for this as well, we were too hungry that we digged in right away. hahahs.

Caught one of the world's most famous Carbaret show, SIMON Carbaret. The second time I caught this show, the first was with my family when I was at the age of 9 @ Pattaya. For those who know how Ladyboys look, I shan't explain further. ( I cant help myself, 'Damn gorgoeous and beautiful', but not all though..some were real FAT but they are a performer indeed. (: ) Oh ya, if u happened to go there next time.. u have to give them tips to take a picture with them(which me and baby dont know) cause they will just wave their hands asking you to go and take a picture with them. Like kana scammed. So choose the few you really want to take the picture with before running into almost everyone of them, unless you are really that generous..

She's the prettiest of all which i think. (tt lady's face being blurred as i dont know who is she.)

That's 800 baht for SIMON.. (S$35)

the following day, we went there for F1 racing as well as to film Sniper 2. heehee..

Go kart ride was scary!!! I felt so dangerous when I was in it.. There were 5 karts(including mine) on the track, everyone( baby, and 3 other angmoh guys) were at such a fast speed that I have to keep checking if I were blocking their way or worse, to hit me... and never did i expect, BOM.~!

My kart swirled out of the track and I was stucked on the grass. Damn that guy who hit me man.. Ka0s.. one of the angmohs.

The track, the karts are not like those in SG(safe), but those where you will be able to drift and drives at a super high speed. around 60km at a restricted circuit. ~.~ not up for it initially, but baby dragged me along. my heart went, DOM DOM DOM, even though i hold a car license. dont say that i am weak, unless u tried it. :P

GOT A SCARED OUT OF IT... ! It's exp though. 10 mins for 500baht(S$20) ! ! GOSH... i just realised that it's $20 SING DOLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR F* 10 mins!

Didnt take any photos as i am traumatise. lols.

Next destination.. Sniper II. That was my first time shooting a REAL GUN!! There were so many different types of guns for your selection. (at different price range of course. the larger the gun the more exp. it gets, as well as the no. of bullets you want to buy.) So, handgun for me. NERVOUS as I was about to fire the first shot. It took me quite a while in this position( see below):

He complained that his gun was not well adjusted. Dont have zero-ing or whatever.. (cause he only got 6 out of 10 shots, and I got 8! whee.ee..~) Badly maintained guns, wonder if it will back fired one day. 1880 baht for both of us. (ard S$80) .. ~.~ sei dao siao ....

One thing good about Phuket is that their food is really affordable and nice. (: I love thai food to the max. lo..~~ TOM YUM!! my favourite.

Mylove got food poisoning on the third day!.. Must be the oyster that he ate and which I didn't. (Only $1.20/each, and he paid for the PRICE of it). Took care of him till he was back in SG.

Perhaps I will consider visiting there again.. or maybe not? (:

Emily is back to work today! (: (was on MC ytd, cramps) .. z.z. hate it. terrible.

Today is a great day, cause i woke up early and reached my work place at 8.40am .. i love this feeling. Every other days, i just cabbed down to my work place and i got lazier&lazier. NO! it gonna stop. (It's a bad habit, and i'm going to kick that away!!)

Oh ya, baby surprised me at my training last thursday. hahas. come to think of it, the incident is quite funny.

(when i was walking back from water cooler) Someone(i cant recall who it was, shld be justin): Emily, your boyfriend came?

I replied(confidently): Huh? Never lah. He never book out today.

(As I walk back to the hall, I saw something familiar.): (Thinking, cannot be right.. how can that be Baby's car..) Then i divert the attention to the car plate no. 9851!!

(i'm still doubting myself, cause it's rather dark to see who's in it.) I walk nearer(like literally just 2 metres away only), and i saw baby! :D

Went to tell my teammates: yes, it's my bf. my bf came~! hahas.

then a few of my teammates went out to see if it's really my boyfriend or not. lols.

justin even questioned me if i am his gf or not, cause i dont even know he's here.. (wah laus ... ~)

i'm happy, cause i'm super tired tt day... like shag, and i've got him.. i went home to bath, and we headed out for supper at Bt Timah's Teochew Muai, then home sweet home.

OH YA! .. Caught WATCHMEN on friday.. it sucks. (to me) way way way.... below my expectation and please dont watch it based on the trailer .. you will regret, like me. haha s.

Been looking forward to try the tira. from Secret Recipe in Sg, but to no avail. Finally! & baby got me my fav. tiramisu from City Square's Secret Recipe. 2 thumbs-UP!! it's Awesome.. Slightly better than Bakerzin.

Birthdays .

Last weekend was definitely one of the most tiring ones.. attended birthday parties of Serena(SOMQ), and my bestie Zhijun, 2 of my lovely girlfriends. (:

On friday night, baby and I decided to go airport to have our supper+late dinner @ POPEYE ard 11 plus. There's only 2 outlets in SG(correct me if i'm wrong), one at the airport, another at Sg Flyer, their food tasted much better than KFC and their mashed potato is a favourite to many.

At the same time, we went there to pick up our friend, Marcus, who was at US for 1 month under NS training. waited for like damn freaking long.. he's flight suppose to be at 1.10am, we waited till 2.30am. zz.z. so tired. To pass time, we took sky train to T2 and then to T1... I haven't been to T1 for ages, it looked kinda run down to me now.. :(

oh ya, Glad that he's back safe and sound.

Saturday, woke up kinda early for training.. met baby for lunch and then he sent me over..

After training, some of us went home to wash up before heading over to Serena's place. Reach there ard 8 pm, was starving like mad dog.. =x baby and I digged in. Caught up with a no. of friends, was happy to see them there. (:

I love serena's birthday cake!!! ... stay tune for the photos in my next post. Happy 21st yet 6th birthday ..! haha s.. Her actual birthday is on 29th Feb, which happens once in 4 years.

After her party, baby acc me to meet Choo(kenneth), and brandon at bishan for prawning and some catching up. Otw there, zhijun called and said darren and her was coming too.. Zhijun and I havent really got a chance to meet up with Choo ever since we grad. from poly. that was like going 6-8 mths?.. he's too busy now .. got gf & ns. =x

nice catching up with Choo, as for brandon.. his house is damn near zhijun and mine. went back at 3.3oam, I'm super tired, so does baby..

training on sunday was cancelled, which means I can wake up later! finally.. and indeed, cause I woke up at 1.30pm.. I forced myslf up as I have to go and help up zhijun with her bdae preparations. Shag.

I wonder what's wrong with the weather nowadays.. it can be so sunny in the afternoon, then raining cats and dogs later on.. lucky baby sent me there. phew~ Traffic lights spoilt, road flooded.. -.- and it had been raining for days..

Reached zhijun's place ard 4plus, serena and her bf, gerard, arrived too.. Decorated the place with balloons, 4 towers of white and gold balloons .. (1 tower consists of 48 balloons) tt's 192 balloons in total. O.O ! the photos will be out soon .. (not yet uploaded.) Credit goes to gerard. He's the one who made the tower, while serena and I was only in-charge of inflating and tying.

Buffet and bbq started around 6 plus.. same catering company as serena's.

Her birthday cake was delicious.. chocolate cheese cake. yummy..~

I DIY something for her, hope she likes it. Got her a customised RL polo T shipped from US(shared with baby, brandon and jannies), as well as an AX belt. (: HAPPY 21st my dear girl ..

Caught fireworks at somewhere near Marina Bay(mrt station) for 2009 countdown. The place is filled with estimated 4000 ppl, but the area is still too big to hold that. i'm serious. You can consider going there next year! *highly recommended*

The fireworks' was great and i got a super nice view of it. thanks! C: Didnt capture any of it cause my brain will do the job and memories will be kept within. -anyhow, someone told me that. hees.- Realised that it's rather dumb to look thru the camera trying to capture or video it down now. LOLS. The feeling is totally different, and it's a waste of time. No offence, maybe a little while is okay.

freaking sick.

It'd been a donkey years since i fell so sick before, and that happened like 2 weeks ago. hate it. i suspected i was down with Influenza cause of the following symptoms:

Body aches, especially joints and throat
Coughing and sneezing
Extreme coldness and fever
Fatigue
Headache
Irritated watering eyes
Nasal congestion
Reddened eyes, skin (especially face), mouth, throat and nose
Abdominal pain (in children with influenza B)

and that's how terrible i felt. At some point of time, i thought i'm dying of TB(Tuberculosis). -.- Block nose and cough affected my sleep when i had to work the next day. just feel like killing myself at that point of time. lols. kidding~ However, i had 2 days MC, and heading home after work during that period was the most ideal choice. :) Someone gave me a surprise right at my doorstep, with dinner, tiramisu and cookies. Thanks! It did sweeten my day.

I hate being sick ... !! and now my back is aching like f*u*, not bcuz of the influenza again. duhz. it's killing me, i must had strained it during last training. sorry my poor back, and sorry to my beauty sleep.

i cant sleep with my back down. it hurts. :( either side way or face down.

But i still miss practice.

OH YA! NEW YEAR's just around the corner~~ 34 hours, 30 mins and 15 secs away from now. =D .. Thought of your NY's resolutions yet?

Pink Christmas.

As usual, i went to church on Christmas Eve and i met my relatives and cousins there.

Time passes so fast, that another christmas came by. One thing i thought would remain the same for every christmas was definitely not meant to be.

Sad, was initially.

But i got over it.

Fully or not i dont know.

But i know i'm happy now,

and that's what matters the most.

Mylife, i live it.

Just be happy for me. C: !

Enjoying moment.-

I spent my 2008's Christmas countdown in the cinema @ town. (but no one's counting down inside. hahas.) That was the 1st time i did that, kinda new to me. I found it way better than hanging along the sardine-packed Orchard Road that day. Just somewhere quiet and relaxing will do. Caught the show IP-MAN(ee-mun) and i gave 4.5/5 stars.. Bravo! i love action movies. i'm okay if u looked at me as a guy for that. i wont give a damn abt it. =D

There's something different for this christmas, and i think i like it this way. C:
